The 2019-2020 ski season is creeping up on us! Notices & dates to keep in mind….

Do you need new winter tires?

Kal Tire is once again sponsoring our youth programs.

When you purchase your 2019-2020 Cross-Country Ski Membership, you’ll receive a coupon for $100 off a set of four winter tires (passenger or light truck) from Kal Tire.  Tires must be purchased and installed before September 30.  See your CCBC magazine for the coupon as well.  On Saturday, September 21, 10 am – 2 pm, we’ll have a table set up for membership purchase at Kal Tire.

 

Annual General Meeting

Thursday, October 17, 7 pm, Library Meeting Room….  Election of directors; we are looking for a chairperson and Youth Development Coordinator.  We are proposing the addition of a family membership as well as a family day use fee.  We have lots of jobs, big and small, throughout the year that require volunteers.  Please contact us if you are able to help.

 

New Adventure Trail Work Bee:  September 29, 10am-2 pm.

Please join us up at Bull Mountain this Sunday to fine tune our new Adventure Trail!  The new trail is located just off the stadium at Pony Express.  We will mostly be cutting firewood and taking it to the warming hut, burning some debris, and raking/smoothing the trail.

We are looking for chainsaws/operators with appropriate personal protective gear, shovels and rakes.  Gloves and good footwear are recommended.  Bring a lunch, and all the family for a great outdoor day!

 

Fall Work Bees at Bull Mountain are scheduled for:

Sunday, October 20, 9 am – 3 pm & Sunday, October 27, 9 am – 3 pm.  Meet in the parking lot.  If you are able to help out, please call Glen 250-398-5809 to sign up and get information.

Clean-up will be on the ski trails, snowshoe trails and in the warming hut.

What to bring….

brush saws, power saws (and people to operate them) long-handled snips, gloves, shovels, quads, handsaws, axes
