Thank-you to our amazing community of Nordic Skiers. With a sudden flurry over the last 10 days of the fundraiser, the Williams Lake Cross Country Ski Club closed the campaign in 9th place Nationally and in 5th place Provincially. Funds raised locally were $7,995 and with the matching funds from Nordiq Canada a net benefit to our Club of $8,995. This is amazingly good news for our club, which will help us to leverage funding for expanding and improving our facilities and programs. We are extremely grateful for and excited by your support.Read More

Thank you to all the skiers who participated in this event to wrap up a fun ski season. And a huge thank you to the groomers who put down a great ski surface that lasted all weekend despite some challenging end-of-season weather conditions.Read More

HOW MANY LOOPS CAN WE DO IN 48 HOURS?
Cataline Challenge : MARCH 12- 14th 6PM Friday night to 6PM Sunday night.
This is a 48 hour “race” where you can ski the course – Cataline full loop and Spur (a distance of 7.4km) – as many times as you like, in whichever style you prefer (skate or classic) and in whichever direction you prefer to do the loop. The goal is to see how many loops of the course we can complete as a community over the 48 hours – 6pm Friday March 12 to 6pm Sunday March 14.
Through the weekend please record each loop separately on the sheet at the sign in board. You may time yourself and record that as well as your name and contact number. You may enter anonymously but will only be eligible for prizes if you include a name and contact. There will be a random draw for prizes for all participants and bragging rights for the top time to complete the loop (honour system!!). All skiers welcome. Regular trail fees in effect.
**RANDOM DRAW PRIZES FOR PARTICIPANTS – EACH LOOP IS ONE ENTRY
**TRACK YOUR TIME – TOP TIMES WILL BE ANNOUNCED

If you want immediate updates to grooming status take a look at this new app that we have been invited to Beta test. The app is updated as groomers work, so take a look and plan your ski (see March 3/21 email)! The first date on the time stamp indicates the trail has been groomed and the second that is has been track set.
The Williams Lake Cross Country Ski Club is now seeking a sponsor for this app which will include a linked logo to the sponsors website. It is our hope that we can fine tune the app to our trails over the next few weeks and have it up and running for next season. Please send any feedback, questions or sponsorship interest to email@example.com.Read More
