Jackrabbits at Quesnel Elementary School Races

Feb 23, 2019 Quesnel Elementary School Races at Hallis Lake:
Although it was a chilly day, a number of the Bull Mountain Jackrabbits raced at Hallis Lake, making up the only out-of-town team that attended this fun annual event (and thus earning the annual Gold Pan trophy for best out-of-town team).  The WLCCSC Jackrabbits who went were:  Violet, Anna, Zinny, Gavin, Lilly, and Oi.  All the kids participated in all the events.  The day began with a classic distance ski.  This was followed by a freestyle sprint team relay, and finally by the exciting downhill ‘double-cross’.

Ski Tournament

Many thanks to all the volunteers who helped make our 4th annual kids ski tournament a big success. Teams from 100mile and Quesnel had nice things to say, their kids had tons of fun. Dale did another great job announcing, glen and Paul along with all their support crew handling our timing/results. Lisa and Sean for spearheading course and stadium setup, bev for planning out fun stadium obstacle course for fun team relay, Scott Gordon and Malcolm for grooming.

Also Jen Clark and Lynn Samson for taking care of the fantastic food. Special thanks to Jim Simms for taking care of large warming tent which again came in very handy. Many thanks to all the others, without you we cannot host these great events and all the kids really appreciate it. Big pat on the back to all.
